My Favourite Guided Morning Meditations:

From now on your days will be blissfully different, no matter which style of meditation you choose to begin with first thing in the morning.

Almost every single successful person has a daily meditation routine.


Why? lets dive in.


Depending on how you are feeling or what you are processing in the moment there is a meditation to support you exactly as you are. Whether you wish to diminish anxiety and stress, improve your productivity, call in a manifestation, find connection with your highest self or benefit your overall health, meditation in the morning will support and guide you into these desired states of mind.


Meditation in the morning is one of the fastest ways to raise your vibration (make you feel better) and take you to a place of desired mindset. When you are first waking up your brain is moving from delta (sleep) to theta (a dreamy state) then to alpha (awake but relaxed) and this brain wave process is what is most important for a healthy mindset - if we pick up our cellphones first thing in the morning - we skip this whole process and go straight into an alert state and high stimulation means our nervous systems operate in survival mode.


These first 20 minutes of your day - when your brain waves are moving through theta to alpha, is when your subconsciousness is the most impressionable, why not use this time to visualise what you want and allow your subconscious mind to positively rewire your mindset.


Guided meditations are great for beginners who are just starting out with meditation, as well as people (like me) with a chatty, overactive mind. The great thing is, that no matter your knowledge or experience of meditation, anyone can enjoy them.


My favourite place to listen to meditations is through an app called insight timer. It's a free app and there is plenty of meditation teachers to choose from. While this app is my favourite source, you tube is also a great place to browse.


However, all these platforms can be overwhelming, so I put together my favourite guided meditations to start the day - just for you.



Vipassana Mindfulness Meditation

Vipassana is one of my favourite styles of meditation. An ancient mindfulness technique which involves observing your thoughts and emotions as they are, without judging or dwelling on them.

This short meditation is great to start your meditation journey while allowing you to continue a meditative state afterwards.

Not a traditional meditation however, I really enjoy the way Jason guides you into a positive mindset and then gets your body moving and make your way out of bed - in his words “set your daily intentions and infuse your day with a deep sense of gratitude”.

I am a sucker for a body scan meditation. There's something so comforting about checking in and bringing awareness to your body.

Even more amazing is to practice this meditation on a cold winter morning, Jessica's soothing voice guides you through a visualisation of warm rays from the sun bringing light to all areas areas of the body. You could almost be mistaken for being on a blissful tropical island.
